- Hi, my name is Regine and I’m going to tell you a little bit about myself.
- I’ll start by saying I’m a Communication major with an emphasis in Multimedia Journalism.
- Multimedia Journalism is about using text, images, sounds, videos, and graphics to tell an interesting story
- People in this field often work for newspapers, radio, television or social media
- I chose this major because I always enjoyed watching people share their stories and make a name for themselves using media
- I am a senior at Susquehanna University and I am actively involved with the radio station on campus called WQSU 88.9 The Pulse.
- I joined WQSU freshman year, and I’ve been on-air for 4 years now.
- When I’m on-air I mostly play Hip Hop and R&B. But sometimes I play Rock and Pop music to connect with all audiences
- My favorite thing about being a DJ at WQSU is being able to interact with the audience when they call in at the station.
- When I’m not on-air, you will mostly likely find me on the Ave
- At the Sigma Gamma Rho house.
- Yes, I am an active member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated
- I joined SGRho my Sophomore year of college and I am truly happy I did
- SGRho really helped me grow into the person I am today!
- A few interesting facts about are:
- I have the tendency to break headphones… No headphone is safe around me.
- I am a Black American and I’m very prideful about that.
- I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Bed-Sty do or die.
- I love dogs and I have two dogs at home.
- I love rainy days. Rainy days are so peaceful. Like the sounds of rain drops falling is pretty something to me.
- But I also really enjoyed hot seasons.
- In fact, I was born in the hottest month: August 16th.
- I’m a Leo.
- I’m not really big on Astrology, but I know a lot of people who are.
- I’m in the process of becoming a vegetarian
- I’m 21 years old and I really enjoy watching cartoons. Never too old to watch cartoons.
